EXPLORE THE HOME

Light. Space.
A rhythm of your own.

THE EVERYDAY, MADE SPACIOUS

A home shaped by attention.

Built by two architects as their dream home, and cared for with that same attention. Lofted ceilings and generous windows welcome the daylight; the mountains are part of the room.

Three bedrooms, a separate upstairs studio, and 2.5 bathrooms. Alongside the primary bedroom, two additional downstairs bedrooms offer a bed and a futon setup respectively. The upstairs tea and practice space is separate from all three bedrooms. Up to four people share the whole home; sleeping arrangements are confirmed with you before an offer. A car is useful for exploring the Mesa and getting into Taos.

WHY TAOS

A place to find
your attention.

The openness of the high desert. The Sangre de Cristo mountains. The Rio Grande cutting through the gorge. There is room here to step away from the work, and return with something new.

Taos has long drawn artists, within a much older landscape of living Pueblo culture. Artists at Taos Pueblo carry living traditions of pottery, painting and sculpture. The Harwood Museum traces another part of the story, from the Taos Society of Artists and Hispanic traditions to Agnes Martin and contemporary work.

Beyond the home: mountain days at Taos Ski Valley, time along the river, and a day trip to the mineral springs at Ojo Caliente. Let the season shape your days.

A NOTE FROM BENJAMIN

A home for
the creative life.

I first came to New Mexico for an artist retreat in Santa Fe. That journey eventually brought me to Taos. The open space, the quiet, and the quality of the light gave me room to return to my own creative life.

After years of making films, I found space here to sit at the piano and follow the music that had been waiting for my attention. I’ve come to value that continuity: returning to a song or a question, day after day, long enough for something to open.

This home holds that spirit for me. Sunlight through the high windows. Tea upstairs with the mountains in view. A place to leave the work open and come back to it in the morning.

I’m opening my home to others who are longing for that kind of time. Bring a project, a practice, or the wish to listen more closely. I hope you find room here for what’s asking for your attention.
